Dress Code

Dress Codes :

"Jacket & Tie Required" — includes dress pants, jacket and tie for gentlemen and similarly formal attire for ladies.

"Jacket Required" — includes slacks, jacket and collared shirt or turtle neck for gentlemen and similarly dressy attire for ladies.

"Casual Attire" — for gentlemen includes collared shirts, turtlenecks, neat pants and golflength shorts; for ladies includes slacks, skirts, golf-length shorts and shirts that may    be collared or not.

"Beachwear" — includes bathing suits, cover-ups and collarless shirts.

"Athletic Attire" — the attire prescribed for the athletic facility being utilized (Golf, Tennis, Platform Tennis, Bowling, Shooting).


Main Clubhouse and Beach Club :

Casual Attire and Athletic Attire are appropriate in the Main Clubhouse, except as otherwise provided.

Gentlemen shall remove hats and caps and ladies shall remove caps in the Main Clubhouse and in restaurants. For luncheon dining at the Beach Club, hats and caps are   allowed for protection from the sun by both men and women.

Casual Attire, Athletic Attire and Beachwear are appropriate at the Beach Club.

The dress code for Club events and member parties may be established by the event   sponsor.


ATHLETIC FACILITIES :


G O L F

Casual Attire is appropriate. Golf shoes may only have "soft" spikes. Blue jeans are not
  permitted for ladies and gentlemen, and mock neck short-sleeved shirts are not permitted
  for gentlemen.

T E N N I S

All White tennis attire and gear is required and gentlemen must wear collared shirts.
Shoes must have flat soles. Children 14 and under may wear white collarless shirts with • the Wee Burn logo. Warm-up attire may be any color. "All White" attire and gear may   contain up to 10% color.

From Interstate 95 Northbound (coming from New York) take:

• Exit 10 - Noroton Avenue Exit
• Go left at the end of the ramp onto Noroton Avenue
• At the 4th traffic light, turn left onto Middlesex Road
• At the 1st stop sign (4-way), turn right onto Hollow Tree Ridge Road. Follow Hollow Tree Ridge Road to the stop sign, which is straight across the intersection from the club parking lot


From Interstate 95 Southbound (coming from New Haven) take:

• Exit 10 - Noroton Avenue Exit
• At the end of the ramp, bear left onto Ledge Road
• At the 1st traffic light, turn right onto Noroton Avenue
• At the 3rd traffic light, turn left onto Middlesex Road
• At the 1st stop sign (4-way), turn right onto Hollow Tree Ridge Road
• Follow Hollow Tree Ridge Road to the stop sign, straight across the intersection from you is Wee Burn


From the Merritt Parkway (Northbound or Southbound) take:

• Exit 36 - Route 106 New Canaan - Stamford
• Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Route 106 South
• Follow Route 106 into Darien until you come to a traffic light just after the railroad tracks (there is a greenhouse on your right).
• At this light turn left onto Camp Avenue
• Go to the end of that road and turn right onto Hollow Tree Ridge Road Follow that road; go around a bend and the club parking lot is located immediately on your left.

From Interstate 95 North ( New York )

• Exit 12 ( Tokeneke Road / Route 136 ).
• Turn Right at the bottom of the ramp onto Tokeneke Road.
• Follow the signs for Route 136 (Tokeneke Road) into the Town of Rowayton (approx. 3 miles).
• The first stop sign you come to is Mckinley Avenue (still 136) turn left on to Mckinley Avenue.
• Follow Mckinley Avenue to first traffic light and turn right onto Roton Avenue (approx. 1 block).
• Follow Roton Avenue until you reach a stop sign.
• At the stop sign, continue to go straight on Roton Avenue.
• About ¼ of mile down you will see 2 stone pillars on your right hand side that say "Wee Burn Beach Club." Enter and drive straight ahead - The club is around the tennis courts on your left.

From Interstate 95 South ( New Haven )

• Exit 11 (Darien/Route 1 ).
• Turn right at the end of the ramp on to the Post Road (Rt. 1).
• Follow Rt. 1 to the first traffic light which is Corbin Drive.
• Turn Right onto Corbin Drive.
• At the let stop sign turn left onto South Old Kings Highway.
• At the next stop sign turn right onto Tokeneke Road (136).
• Follow the signs for Route 136 (Tokeneke Road) into the Town of Rowayton (approx. 3 miles).
• The first stop sign you come to is McKinley Avenue (still 136) turn left on to McKinley Avenue.
• Follow McKinley Avenue to first traffic light and turn right onto Roton Avenue (approx. 1 block).
• Follow Roton Avenue until you reach a stop sign.
• At the stop sign, continue to go straight on Roton Avenue.
• About 1/4 mile down you will see 2 stone pillars on your right hand side that says Wee Burn Beach Club. Drive straight ahead to the club, which is around the tennis courts on the left.
